How to play Memory Match

Goal and controls

Find every pair before the timer ends. Levels grow from 3 × 3 (3 minutes) to 8 × 8 (28 minutes). Odd grids have a free centre tile. Win to unlock the next level. Tap a card or use Tab and Enter. Progress and remaining time save on this device.

A worked example

On level 1, the 3 × 3 grid has four pairs and a free centre square. Turn over two cards to look for identical pictures. If the first card is a cat you have already seen, select its remembered partner instead of opening a completely new position. Mismatches turn back over after a short pause.

Plan your next move

Explore in a consistent order, such as one row at a time, and describe pictures precisely: a golden lotus is different from a golden tulip. A match remains visible, reducing the area you need to remember. On larger grids, concentrate on a few nearby positions before searching the entire board.

Scoring and finishing

Each pair gives 100 points. Finishing adds a move-efficiency bonus and remaining whole seconds. Win to unlock the next level. Restart repeats the current level; Reset progress clears the campaign after confirmation. Progress belongs to this browser, not an online account.

Saving, pausing and leaving

Press Play to begin; browsers may require that gesture before sound or fullscreen can start. Use the music-note button to toggle audio and the appearance control for light/dark mode. Exit Game returns to Mini Games. Escape or browser Back may ask for confirmation when a run is in progress.

Your active run and ten best scores save on this device when browser storage is available. This is a local score table, not a verified online ranking. Saves do not sync across devices; clearing site data or using private browsing can remove them. On return, choose Continue when a saved run is offered.
